摘要

The indoor air qualities of 60 underground parking lots in Taipei were analyzed. The adverse health effect and cancer risk due to the air pollution were evaluated for parking lot users and employees. The major air pollutants in the employee offices of the underground parking lots were CO 2 and formaldehyde, and CO in the parking areas. The employee's average lifetime cancer risk was 1.80 × 10 -4 after exposure of 29 yr. It is suggested to remove unnecessary decoration, air fresheners, incense or cigarette smoking, to keep positive-pressured ventilation, to avoid idle engine to reduce vehicle emissions. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 104th AWMA Annual Conference and Exhibition 2011 (Orlando, FL 6/21-24/2011).
