摘要

It is well known that the induction motor drives based on Direct Torque Control (DTC) do not require calculating the slip frequency, and therefore the variation rotor time constant of induction motor does not affect the slip frequency and speed response. However, stator resistance is still required for deriving the stator flux. Moreover, to meet the specification of response a skilled engineer is still required to tune the parameters of controller. To overcome the above-mentioned issues, self-commission, which calculates the motor parameters, including the stator resistor, inertial and friction coefficient, and thereby automatically generating the control parameters before the motor drives start, is one of the practical solutions. In this paper, the details of the implementation of a DTC-based induction motor with self-commission will be presented and experimental results will be demonstrated to support the theoretical development and analysis.
