摘要

TiO2 photocatalysts have been extensively studied due to their chemical stability and wide applications in environmental pollution control. The feasibility of the applications of plasma surface modification of photocatalysts and removal of toluene from indoors N-doped TiO2 was studied. The RF plasma-calcination method enhanced the BET surface area of modified photocatalysts effectively. Decomposition efficiencies of toluene for RF and plasma torch (PT) calcined-methods were all higher than those of commercial TiO2. Reaction rate constant and adsorption equilibrium constant of photo-decomposition reactions using RF and PT calcined-methods with WLED were proposed. The simulation results agreed well with experimental data. The results support the feasibility and potential use of plasma modification via LED in photocatalysis. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 103rd AWMA Annual Conference and Exhibition (Calgary, Alberta, Canada 6/22-25/2010).
