摘要
The enhancement of liquid phase splitting was studied for mixtures of water + ethanol + ethyl acetate in the presence of a hydrophilic agent (glycerol) or an electrolyte substance (potassium acetate or calcium chloride). The liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) properties were measured for the mixtures of water + ethanol + ethyl acetate with or without the auxiliary agents at 283.15-313.15 K. By adding the same amount of auxiliary agents, the magnitudes of phase-splitting enhancement followed the order of CaCl 2 > KAc > glycerol. The NRTL and the electrolyte-NRLT models were used to correlate the LLE data for the mixtures with or without electrolyte substances. The models represented well the phase behavior of those studied mixtures. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 7th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (Glasgow, Scotland 7/10-14/2005).
