摘要
In traditional libraries, users tend to access the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for utilitarian purposes. However, smart public libraries with e-book walls emphasize enjoyment through the provision of an appealing, easy-To-use interface that allows for browsing of electronic books. These features are able to satisfy the needs of readers of different age groups. The aim of the current study was to understand the applicability and sense of uncertainty associated with the visualized interface of e-book walls. To identify differences in the information-seeking behaviors of users of different age groups, we observed interactions (including browsing patterns and emotive states) between participants and an e-book walls. These results can serve as a reference for future research into human information interactions, and could be particularly useful for research which focuses on visualized interfaces and their ease of use. Our findings may also be of interest to the field of cognitive psychology.
