Using Hooke-Jeeves algorithm to optimize chilled water system

Abstract

Energy saving and carbon reduction are more and more important recently, an air conditioning system how operate in a best situation is an important issue. In this paper, we refer to an optimization method, that is, Hooke-Jeeves algorithm, and integrated an energy simulation tool-EnergyPlus to optimize the water loop system in air conditioning system, expect to seek the best operation settings. In this research, the settings were focused on chilled water supply temperature and cooling water supply temperature. After the simulation optimization was got, we compare it with the results of conventional one and actual one, Hooke-Jeeves algorithm can optimize the air conditioning system efficiently.
