Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

This paper presents characterizations of a UHF-band planar antenna with circular polarization for radio-frequency identification (RFID) application. This RFID antenna is constructed with two-sided structure. It is fed by a 50-ω subminiature version A (SMA) connector with the patch size of 12.9 × 12.9 cm2. Experiment results demonstrate that the patch antenna has a suitable operating frequency around 925 MHz in UHF band for RFID application. In addition, it provides circular radiation patterns. The 925-MHz patch antenna has been successfully characterized. From the measured results, it found that this patch antenna is well suitable for RFID applications.
