Abstract

The tapered microstrip transition with an overlapped coplanar stripline (CPS) as a feeding structure that effectively excited tapered slot antenna (TSA) geometry is proposed. This designed antenna has the merits such as wideband, simple balun feeding network, low profile compact size with fairly good antenna performances (VSWR, gain and radiation patterns).
