Abstract

In this paper, an imitated-handwriting system has been developed using a CoreXY mechanism remotely controlled by a networked programmable logic controller (PLC). In the present scheme, a mobile application (App) is designed for sending commands from an Android-based smartphone to the PLC through a wireless socket with Modbus communication. Moreover, a PLC-controlled CoreXY mechanism is realized to perform the imitated-handwriting functions. Finally, several application cases are provided to demonstrate the feasibility and practicality of the developed system.
