A rapid optimization algorithm applied to diffractive optical elements with millions of pixels

Abstract

We present an optimization algorithm to calculate diffractive optical elements (DOEs) comprising millions of pixels in reasonable time which have been applied for advanced applications of spatial light modulator requiring diffractive images of high quality.
