Abstract
A fuzzy semantic model is proposed to retrieve bird information using handheld devices is discussed. The model offers a data input interface with which the system manager can enter all bird information into the database. The user-friendly and comprehensive design lets users enter uncertain specifications in query forms. To achieve a better retrieval result, more statistical analyses of the past query performance are required.
